Blue Ice (also known as Chakal) is a vigorous long-vine Cucurbita maxima producing large blocky grey fruits weighing 10–15 kg. It is bred for fresh market trade requiring sizeable, visually distinctive pumpkins. The medium-thick rind improves handling and reduces storage losses, while the tan-orange flesh delivers acceptable culinary performance.
