Stephanie Beavis has been appointed as Organics Manager, expanding Elsoms’ vegetable sales team and giving more focus to this unique sector.
With a background in the organic fresh produce industry, Stephanie’s understanding of this market will be key in ensuring that the UK will have access to the wide organic range supplied by Elsoms.
Elsoms is placing a larger emphasis on organics, with Stephanie running more variety demonstration trials throughout the UK. These trials will help to provide growers with the best genetics for the UK market, and will allow growers to directly feed in to and steer the breeding programmes run by Elsoms’ partner company, Bejo.
Bejo has the leading portfolio in organics, with a strong breeding programme that has been developed over 20 years. Stephanie will be the main point of contact between UK growers and the organic specialists at Bejo, helping to drive the variety selection from this portfolio that will benefit UK growers.
“This position shows the dedication that Elsoms has to this sector.” Said Justin Solly, Head of Vegetable Seed Sales at Elsoms. “We recognise that this is a unique sector and our aim is to be at the forefront. Steph’s appointment shows this how important this sector is to us”
