The below applies to any growers who have purchased seed with emergency approved Redigo seed treatment for 2024. Please read carefully and ensure you provide all necessary information to the relevant stakeholders.

Redigo M is authorised for use as a seed treatment on sweetcorn seeds to control root, stem, and ear diseases caused by various Fusarium spp., damping-off diseases caused by Pythium spp., and various fungal pathogens.

Emergency Authorisation Number: 0053 of 2024

Obligatory Conditions of Approval:

• Field of use: ONLY AS A SEED TREATMENT
• Maximum sowing density: 60,000 seeds per hectare
• Seed must be precision drilled to a depth of 2 to 5 cm
• Seed treatment must be performed in professional seed treatment facilities
• Treated seed must not be used for food or feed

HCP are obliged to collate data on the following –

• Volumes of treated seed used
• Sowing rates and timing
• Total area sown in hectares
